Sean-Nós Dancer Emma O’Sullivan Joins Trad on the Prom

All-Ireland Sean-Nós Winner Emma O’Sullivan hails from Connemara. Her extraordinary drive and determination in mastering her art has seen her eclipse all other sean-nós dancers with her creative, exciting, and masterful footwork .
Emma found fame in early 2010 when she triumphed over other thousands of other acts to reach the finals of RTE‘s “The All Ireland Talent Show”. She was partnered with box player Johnny O'Halloran from Inishbofin to dance in her flowing, relaxed and spirited style, perfectly matched by Johnny's vigorous playing on a-melodeon. Credited with reviving the age old tradition, Emma showcased her expertise in sean-nós dance and wowed both the judges and the Irish public. She won widespread admiration and acclaim and has since become a household name. Emma is committed to her art and to bringing the sean-nós style to a new realm.She is planning many exciting new projects including television, stage, collaborating with recording artists and is very much in demand for her skills in choreography. |

Irish Dancing World Champion Makes History

Claire Greaney, lead female dancer from Trad on the Prom, made history in Glasgow Scotland at the recent Irish World Dancing Championship where she retained her World Title for the fourth consecutive year by fighting off stiff competition at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. |

Christmas Cabaret - Exclusive to the Ardilaun Hotel Galway 2008
Last years Trad on the Prom Christmas Cabaret took place in the Ardilaun Hotel Galway for one night on Wednesday, December 10th 2008. Tickets cost €65 per person and price included: Mulled Wine Reception, 4 Course Buffet Dinner, 2 hours of Music, Song & Dance by Trad on the Prom.

Trad on the Prom headlined Milwaukee Irish Fest 2008
Last year Trad on the Prom headlined the Milwaukee Irish Fest. They performed to a collective audience of more than 130,000 between Aug 14-17th 2008. Furry Village also performed in Milwaukee Fest and these Galway based acts ensured that the punters were treated to the very best of Irish music,song and dance. |
Mairin Fahy toured with The Chieftains in 2008
Mairin has just returned from yet another sell out tour of North America with The Chieftains. The tour from coast to coast in the US finished with another amazing performance in Carnegie Hall on March 17th 2008. |
World Champions again!
Fergal Keaney and Clare Greaney successfully defended their World Dancing titles in Belfast over the Easter. Again, they were crowned world champions in their respective categories. |
Class Act
Super brothers Fergal and Cathal Keaney were voted the most talented teenagers in Ireland when they won RTE's Young Talent Competition "Class Act". |

Trad on the Prom on The Today Show 
Trad on the Prom put on a spectacular live performance for more than 10 million Americans on May 1st 2007. The location was a sun drenched Spanish Arch and Galway city came alive with TV fever as New York’s flagship breakfast show, NBC’s “Today” programme rolled into town. Celebrity Anchorman Matt Lauer broadcast his “Where in the world is Matt Lauer?” live from Spanish Arch and Quay Street and the cast of Trad on the Prom delivered a stunning half hour set featuring an electrifying mix of Irish Music, Song and Dance from their world class performers. |
Celebrity Jigs and Reels
Amidst their hectic schedule Mairin and Chris also performed as guest musicians on the hit TV series Celebrity Jigs and Reels which featured Riverdance stars Colin Dunne and Jean Butler. They joined Fergal O Murchu as the resident band and supplied the music for the Euro dance competitors as well as the celebrity guests. |
Máirín toured with the Chieftains in 2007
Máirín recently returned from a sell out tour with the Chieftains which took them all over the United States for their 2007 North American Tour. Other guests with the Chieftains included Triona Marshall, John and Nathan Pilatzke, Cara Butler and Ryan McNeal. |
Trad on the Prom & Furry Village in Liechtenstein
The cast of Trad on the Prom and Furry Village performed a very succesfull concert in Schaan, Liechtenstein. Already plans are being made for a return visit next year.

Trad on the Prom performed for American Music Students
On March 14th a special performance took place in the Salthill Hotel for hundreds of high school music students from the States, who performed in the St. Patricks Day Parade in Dublin on March 17th.

On April 9th Trad on the Prom performed in the beautiful new purpose-built theatre in Ennis. This concert took place in conjunction with Clare FM and was one of the highlights of the Glor Calendar 2007.
