‘Trad on the Prom’ is a contemporary Irish show featuring an electrifying mix of music, song and dance. It showcases the amazing talents of Máirín Fahy, featured soloist with ‘Riverdance’ and ‘The Chieftains’. Máirín is joined by her world class band and will feature special guests including her brother Gerard Fahy, multi instrumentalist and musical director of Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance’. The Trad on the Prom band comprises of the finest musicians on the Irish music scene today.The band includes Gerard Fahy on uileann pipes, Chris Kelly on guitar, Yvonne Fahy on accordion and percussion, Brendan Hayes on keyboard and guest musicians Brian Morrisey, Padraig Wren and Kieran Munnelly on concertina, flute, banjo and additional percussion. Marc came to world wide notice when he respresented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. He is now one of Ireland’s leading song writers and has released three highly acclaimed solo albums. He co-writes with a host of well know artists such as Brian Kennedy, Daniel O’Donnell and Nashville legend Rodney Crowell. Click view or on the image to visit this image gallery. |
Since the year 2000, Máirín has been a regular guest with the Irish super group the Chieftains. She has toured all over the US, Europe, Australia and New Zeland with them. She also regularly tours with her own band, the Máirín Fahy band and recently completed a highly successful tour of 26 of the main theatres in Holland. She is also a member of the highly successful celtic fusion 'Furry Village' headed by her brother Gerard and has just returned from Leichtenstein having performed a sell out concert there.
