Fergal Keaney

Fergal started Irish dancing at the age of 5 at his local national school Maree N.S. From there he went on to join the O’Brien school of Irish dancing in Galway and began his competitive career. During his time there Fergal won 4 Connaught titles, 1 All Ireland Title, The European Championships and 2 consecutive world dancing titles.

In 2004 Fergal joined the Hessian School of Irish dancing in Galway. From here Fergal won a further 5 Connaught Championships, All Ireland Championship, All Scottish Championship, Great British & British Nationals and 3 World Irish Dancing Championships.

In 2007 Fergal and Cathal took part in Ireland’s first televised talent competition called “Class Act”. They were voted by the public into a live grand final and by popular demand were again voted overall winners claiming a cash prize of 10,000 euro.

Fergal also has a first class honours degree in Physics with Astrophysics from NUI Galway, so it is little wonder that he continues to defy gravity with his amazing displays of dancing.

Fergal also tours with Michael Flatley in "Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games".
